Oh, what it will feel like to be heard.
People prefer their narratives – not talking about personal narratives- because you should own “your narratives”. Speaking of narratives we make of “others’ actions” – assumptions that for the most part are often untrue. You might try to make someone listen to no avail. Learning every day that for me, the important thing is not to make people understand me, because the people who are truly for you will listen, and actually hear you when you speak. They know you and will get you.
Again – I don’t hide meanings behind my words, not with numbers, dates, and not with my actions. Whatever you choose to interpret from my actions, is your responsibility, not mine. I am not moving with that rhythm. Maybe a few times I may have fallen, but alas I accept that weakness – for the most part I am not moving with that rhythm.
I have created a space for the people I trust not to either. So we move freely with openness, truth and lack of ambiguity.
Reflecting on the parable of the sower. Sometimes where there is meant to be peace, the devil sneaks in and plants weeds. The wisdom is knowing how to navigate with separating the weeds (confusion) from the truth. The foundation is patience. As the instruction in the parable was to wait and separation will be done later, I am learning the patience that it takes till the separation happens.
